Aerospace-grade Wire for Additive Manufacturing, Laser and Microwelding

Aerospace-grade Wire for Additive Manufacturing, Laser and Microwelding
Innovation

Aimtek produces and stocks a complete range of wire for 3D printing and additive manufacturing. Wire is produced by vacuum melting to reduce oxide contamination. Material is also available as powder - produced by inert gas atomization - with tightly controlled particle size distributions.

Likewise, Aimtek carries a complete range of fine diameter wire for laser welding, micro welding, precision Tig welding, and automatic welding.  Wire is produced by precision drawing and centerless grinding for precise control of tolerances and quality.

The metallurgical team can help choose the correct material for your application and equipment. Aimtek’s Aerospace-grade welding alloys are approved for use in all major aviation and defense applications. Typical materials include Titanium, Inconel, Aluminum, Tool Steel, Low Alloy Steel and Stainless Steel alloys; typical approvals include DFARS, Pratt & Whitney, GE, Rolls Royce, and Honeywell. All weld wire is individually Acromag tested and ultrasonically cleaned. Custom flag tagging, color coding, packaging, and labeling options are available.

Company profile

Aimtek is an award-winning, value-added manufacturer and global supplier of: precious and non-precious metal brazing alloys and preforms; aerospace grade welding and hard facing alloys and wire; plasma, flame spray & twin wire arc thermal spray equipment and materials. Additionally, Aimtek sells and services Soudax resistance microwelding equipment and hand tools for ball-tack, honeycomb, and spot welding. This process is commonly used to position/hold parts before brazing and welding. Aimtek now stocks a variety of ultra-fine diameter welding wire for precision microwelding applications, from laser welding to tool and mold repairs. Aimtek also produces complete lines of specially engineered wire and powders for additive manufacturing. Alloys include Nickel, Titanium, Aluminum, and Stainless Steel. All materials are produced using vacuum melting and inert gas atomization processes.

Founded in 1973, Aimtek has been the professional’s choice for quality products and services for over 40 years. Throughout the years, Aimtek has been named Region I Small Business Subcontractor of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration (nominated for the reward by Pratt & Whitney), received the Gold Award by the U.S. Defense Supply Center five times, and achieved United Technologies (UTC) Supplier Gold status in 2010, an elite level of quality and service attained by less than 1% of the entire UTC supply chain. Aimtek has maintained its Supplier Gold status ever since. With our lauded history, you can order with confidence.
