Now in series: DUSTOMAT DRY for dust and welding fumes
Innovation

The new DUSTOMAT DRY series can be used universally in production as a dust extractor or welding fume filter. The modern extraction devices are suitable for nearly all applications and among other things, effectively extract the dusts, chips and welding fumes produced when processing metal or plastic. The modular and sound-insulated housing concept allows the extraction unit to be precisely configured.

Depending on the application, the filter package can be equipped with cartridge filters with a separation efficiency of up to 99.995 per cent. The extraction capacity is also geared to the application, so the DUSTOMAT DRY generation is available in four performance levels with air volume flows from 2,000 to 4,000 cubic meters per hour. In addition, the system design can be largely adapted to the spatial conditions. In terms of energy efficiency, the dust extractors and welding fume filters are particularly characterized by the innovative filter cleaning system, which uses 50 per cent less compressed air than conventional systems, significantly extending the filter service life.

3-stage filter system
The new DUSTOMAT DRY series ensures that the air is healthy to breathe in just three stages. In the first stage, the integrated impact separator separates coarse and heavy particles and thus protects the downstream filter media. The air filters of the second filter stage vary depending on the application, and filter a large proportion of the extracted dust and fume particles from the air. In the third stage, if required, a post-filter, such as the highly effective HEPA H14 filter, can be used to extract harmful and carcinogenic dusts with a separation efficiency of 99.995 per cent. The dust extractors and welding fume filters can also be supplemented with activated carbon filters to neutralize odours.

DUSTOMAT HYDRO: New output sizes available

DUSTOMAT HYDRO: New output sizes available

ESTA is expanding the innovative DUSTOMAT HYDRO series with two new power variants. The wet filter units for the extraction of aluminium dust or applications with flying sparks are now available with significantly higher air volume flows of 6,000 m³/h as well as 10,000 m³/h of air.

With the new unit sizes, entire production areas, i.e. several extraction points at the same time, can be covered with just one extraction unit. For this purpose, the DUSTOMAT HYDRO is coupled with a pipework system that can be combined with various extraction elements, such as extraction arms or extraction tables.

Operational environmental management: ESTA is ISO 14001 certified

Operational environmental management: ESTA is ISO 14001 certified

With the introduction of the internationally recognised environmental management system according to ISO 14001:2015, ESTA is setting an example in terms of the environment and sustainability.

It's been official since the end of May: the certification body of TÜV SÜD Management Service GmbH has certified that ESTA meets all the requirements of the environmental management standard ISO 14001:2015. With the introduction of the environmental management system, the family-owned company is making visible its commitment to sustainable business practices. The certificate is based on three aspects: compliance with legislation and guidelines, management of environmental risks and continuous improvement of environmental performance in terms of emissions, waste generation and energy consumption.

"We are proud that ESTA has now also received the environmental management standard ISO 14001:2015 in addition to the existing quality management standard ISO 9001:2015. Our goal is to minimise our ecological footprint and thus make a positive contribution to environmental protection," said Regina Kulitz, initiator of the project, who, as Environmental Management Officer, accompanied the audits on the part of ESTA, and was the first to hold the certificate in her hands.

In accordance with its environmental guidelines, the extraction technology company continually invests in the development of resource-saving products and is involved in numerous environmental initiatives. Almost all administration and production areas have already been converted to modern LED technology. The ESTA sales and assembly centre uses the most advanced technologies, and among other things, has heat pumps and photovoltaic systems in operation. In 2007, this was recognised with the "German Solar Prize". The company’s employees, too, cultivate a conscious use of natural resources and materials. The internal guidelines also define regulations for waste reduction and avoidance, among other matters. In addition, regular employee training courses are held. “We take our trainees on board as well, right from the start. Every year they support the reforestation of our company forest near Ulm-Erbach. As part of an upcycling project, we recently repaired aging bicycles and made them roadworthy again for short business errands”, is how Kulitz summarised the commitment of the junior staff. She made it clear: "Despite the very high environmental standards that we have implemented in our company processes, we are striving now, and in the future, to make further improvements and optimisations. Because a lot of small changes can ultimately make a big difference!”
