As the results, after 5 years development, OTOS presents world new welding helmet combined with welding camera.

Thanks to advanced welding camera technology, even beginner welders with OTOS camera Welding Helmet could see the image of arc and surrounding area in the welding on state, making it possible to perform better welding.

OTOS camera welding Helmet with Wi-Fi can store the image of the arc and molten pool that the user can watch later on the server, and other people can see the same welding image in real-time. It means that if the welder has difficulties on welding in Korea, USA experts could support him in real time by monitoring same welding image.

There are two types of camera welding helmet (WG3+ Helmet, WG4+ Helmet).

WG3+ Helmet is the combination of conventional auto darkening welding helmet with new OTOS welding camera. All function is same with existing auto darkening welding helmet for welder and thanks to welding camera on the helmet, all welding images could be stored on the server, shared with supervisor by mobile phone and also monitored in the computer through Wi-Fi or USB communication.

WG4+ Helmet is brand-new welding helmet which has camera and OLED screen only.

The Welder could see very clear arc welding image on the OLED screen through the welding camera and same welding image could be shared with others by Wi-Fi or USB communication.

Last over 5 years of research, OTOS developed an innovative Welding Camera which allows one to clearly see the arc, molten pool, welding seam, and surroundings in real-time during arc welding. The completely different concept Welding Camera could apply to welding monitoring, welding automation for carriages & robot, weld quality inspection and training.

OTOS welding camera could change from current operator’s welding observation to welding camera monitoring and equipment control. This phase is first step of fully welding automation and increase productivity.

And OTOS’ limitless ideas and inspiration bring a camera and image processing technology that can clearly and accurately extract the size of the molten pool, arc length, and welding seam, which were the most difficult in welding automation, like welding carriages and robots, in real-time. Specially OTOS Welding Camera places with an unbelievably compact size to easily attach to automated devices without additional auxiliary lighting.

There are two types of OTOS welding camera (WGC200 and WGC400).

WGC200 welding camera is more compact size and using to mount on the arc torch or head. The WGC200 welding camera uses HD-SDI communication as an image output and uses RS-232C serial communication to set the video image status.

WGC400 welding camera can use both the Wi-Fi communication and the HD-SDI communication as video output methods. WGC400 welding camera could be connected by Wi-Fi with mobile phone and monitoring & record the welding image.
