The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy has included the leading international trade fair SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN in its programme for ‘Promoting the participation of young innovative companies in leading international trade fairs in Germany’.

This enables companies to market new developments in the product sector, in processes and in services, to tap into international markets and thus exploit their growth potential.

The following subsidies are available:

  • 60% for the first two trade fair participations, with the company contributing 40%
  • 50% from the third participation onwards, with the company contributing 50%

Additional costs for extra services are not eligible for funding.

The following are eligible for funding:

  • smaller companies that employ fewer than 50 people
  • generate a maximum of ten million euros in annual turnover/annual balance sheet total and
  • are less than ten years old

Interested companies should submit their applications for funding to the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA). Detailed information is also available at www.bafa.de .

The offer:

The cost of a stand within the communal area is €709/sqm.

This cost includes the following services:

  • Stand rental
  • Stand construction
  • AUMA fee (Ausstellungs- und Messe-Ausschuss der Deutschen Wirtschaft e.V. – Association of the German Trade Fair Industry)

In addition, there is a flat rate of €9.50/sqm for energy and environmental costs, as well as a one-time media flat rate of €880.00 plus VAT.

Registration

Step 1:
Please fill out the Young Innovators registration form for SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2025 and send it to us by email.

Step 2:
Fill out the digital application for approval at the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA).

Step 3:
The BAFA will notify you of your eligibility for funding by email. Only then will your registration for the joint stand be valid.

Step 4:
Invoicing will be carried out by MESSE ESSEN GmbH. Once the invoice has been paid, it can be submitted to the BAFA (no later than four weeks after the end of the trade fair).
