Titanium screws are threaded fasteners made of titanium, known for their strength, lightweight nature, and corrosion resistance, making them suitable for various applications, including dental and medical implants, aerospace, and automotive industries.
Key Properties and Applications:

Strength and Lightweight:
Titanium offers a high strength-to-weight ratio, making it ideal for applications where weight reduction is important without sacrificing strength.

Corrosion Resistance:
Titanium is highly resistant to corrosion, which is crucial in environments where the screws might be exposed to moisture or chemicals.

Biocompatibility:
In medical and dental fields, titanium is biocompatible, meaning it's compatible with living tissue and can be used for implants.

Applications:
Dental Implants: Titanium screws are commonly used to secure dental implants to the jawbone.
Medical Implants: They are used in various surgical procedures to stabilize fractures and other bone repairs.
Aerospace and Automotive: The high strength-to-weight ratio makes titanium screws desirable for aircraft and vehicle construction.
Other: They are also used in electronics, sporting equipment, and other applications where a strong, lightweight, and corrosion-resistant fastener is needed.

Types of Titanium Screws:

  • Socket Head Cap Screws: These have a hexagonal recess in the head for driving with an Allen wrench.
  • Button Head Screws: These have a rounded head, offering a low profile.
  • Flat Head Screws: These have a countersunk head for flush mounting.
  • Other variations: Titanium screws are available in various sizes, thread pitches, and head styles to suit different applications.

ER Ti-12 Grade 12, DIN 3.7105 Ti-0.3Mo0.8Ni Titanium Welding Wire

ERTi-12 (Ti 0.3Mo0.8Ni) Solid drawn Titanium Grade 12 welding wire

Categry: GMAW-GTAW Solid wires

Applications:
This alloy finds his applications in chemical industry and offers excellent Weldabillity. Often recomended for pressure vessels and piping for its superior strenght alone.

Properties:
ER Ti-12: Grade 12 (Ti 0.8Ni0.3Mo) is an intermediate strength grade originally developed to provide enhanced crevice-corrosion resistance in high temperature brines, but at lower cost than Grade 7. The improved performance is believed to be the result of Ni++ and Mo++ ions that alter the surface electrochemistry of the material in the crevice or under a surface deposit. Grade 12 has better elevated temperature properties than Grade 2 or 3 and is sometimes specified for pressure vessels or piping for its superior strength alone.
