The system solution for automated welding and cutting: QIROX comprises all solutions for automated welding and cutting. Due to its modular design, the QIROX system allows scalable solutions which can perfectly match your production requirements. The QIROX system includes the robot technology, positioners, safety technology, software, sensors and the interface to the process technology. It is completed by an extensive range of options and complementary services.
QINEO, are the high-quality welding power sources by CLOOS which have been developed specifically for commercial and industrial welding purposes. They meet every demand of manual and automated welding. Moreover, the modular QINEO system allows individual solutions which can be adapted to your specific production requirements and objectives. From capacity class to special equipment, each QINEO is customised and supplemented by a comprehensive accessories program and matching services.
Excellent welding results and flexible applications – the new MIG/MAG multiprocess welding machine QINEO NexT expands the established CLOOS product portfolio. At the Schweissen & Schneiden exhibition from 25 to 29 September in Düsseldorf trade visitors can experience the wide model range of the QINEO welding power sources live.
The QINEO NexT high-tech welding power sources are available with an inverter power unit (DC). The QINEO NexT convinces by excellent arc characteristics for highest welding quality. The modular design allows many applications from the basic welding machine for manual welding to the multiprocess welding machine for automated robot welding.
Together with the QINEO NexT CLOOS will present MoTion Weld, a new process family for automated MIG/MAG welding. Here welding processes in the short arc range are combined with a mechanical system which draws the wire back and forward at a high frequency. At MoTion Control Weld (MCW) the short-circuit process Control Weld is combined with a reversible wire electrode. MoTion Vari Weld (MVV) is another hybrid arc with reversible wire electrode. Due to the low heat input into the workpiece and the minimised spatter formation at high welding speeds the stable welding processes are particularly suitable for thin plate applications.
Easy entry to automated welding
With the new QIROX QRC-290 welding robot and the QINEO QinTron Robo welding power source CLOOS will present an entry solution for automated welding at the Schweissen & Schneiden exhibition from 25 to 29 September 2017 in Düsseldorf.
The six-axis articulated arm robot QIROX QRC-290 is mounted in upright position on a base or in overhead position at a robot positioner. The welding robot has a classic wrist where MIG/MAG robot welding torches with a weight of up to 4 kg can be mounted.
The QINEO QinTron Robo expands the CLOOS product portfolio by a reasonably priced MIG/MAG welding power source for automated welding on the basis of the QINEO QinTron series. Their main features are high-quality components and a robust design. Due to the modular system and the possibilities to choose between the capacity classes 400 A, 500 A and 600 A, the user can put together an individual welding system.
Together with the new QIROX Controller QC2 Micro, the new QIROX QRC-290 welding robot and the QINEO QinTron Robo welding power source offer an easy entry into automated welding.
From September 25-29, 2017 the international trade world of joining, cutting and surfacing meets in Düsseldorf on the occasion of the Welding & Cutting exhibition. In hall 9, booth C42 CLOOS will present many product innovations for manual and automated welding. "With innovative solutions we wish to make our customers faster, more economic and more flexible - and thus fit for future production", says CLOOS Managing Director Sieghard Thomas.
The focus of the 500 sqm exhibition booth of Carl Cloos Schweisstechnik GmbH is on connectivity and digitalisation. "In welding technology, the virtual and the physical world will increasingly converge as well", explains Sieghard Thomas. "Already today tool carriers, robots, power sources and master controllers successfully communicate with each other in CLOOS welding systems all over the world." The special strength of the traditional company which will celebrate its 100th anniversary in two years is the widely spread competence. Because everything comes from a single source – from the welding technology, robot mechanics and controller to positioners, software and sensors – CLOOS supplies everything from a single source.
New generation of workpiece positioners
During live-demonstrations of manual welding trade visitors can experience the wide model range of the CLOOS welding power sources from entry to premium. The focus is here on the new QINEO NexT MIG/MAG welding power source series. The high-tech power sources are characterised by excellent welding features for highest quality. The modular design allows many applications from the basic welding machine for manual welding to the multiprocess welding machine for automated robot welding. Besides, CLOOS has further developed the proven series of QINEO Pulse and QINEO Champ welding power sources. The new Pro-version offers many optimised functions as for example an Ethernet interface as standard.
New entry robot and new programming surface
With the QIROX robots, positioners and special purpose machines CLOOS develops and manufactures automated welding systems meeting the specific requirements of the customers. The portfolio comprises simple, compact systems as well as complex, chained systems with automated workpiece identification and loading and unloading processes. At the exhibition CLOOS will present for the first time the new QIROX QRC-290 welding robot which allows an easy entry into automated welding.
Other highlights are the new QIROX Operating System (QOS) and the new programming surface QIROX Technology Interface (QTI) for the robots. They offer an even more user-friendly, intuitive operation, a considerable reduction of the programming times and a very dynamic movement of robots for efficient welding.
Future-oriented welding processes
Furthermore, CLOOS will show new and proven welding processes for maximum productivity and quality. No matter if thick or thin, steel or aluminium, manual or automated – here you find the right welding process for every product requirement.
CLOOS will present the new process family MoTion Weld for automated MIG/MAG welding. Due to the controllable heat input into the workpiece and the minimised spatter formation at high welding speeds the new process is particularly suitable for thin plate applications.
For laser welding CLOOS also offers individual and future-oriented solutions. The main advantages of Laser Weld and Laser Hybrid Weld are highest welding speeds at a low heat input for maximum productivity and excellent quality.
Innovative software solutions for cross-linked production
The CLOOS software solutions increase the performance of welding power sources and robot systems in addition. So the QINEO Data Manager (QDM) software offers the control and the management of welding power sources from a central PC. Process Data Monitoring (PDM) visualises the operating and process data of the welding robots which allows a complete documentation and a full traceability of the components. The RoboPlan offline programming software supports the user to efficiently structure the production runs.
