IF Digital Award to debut at SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2025 with over 20 applicants

For the first time, the IF Digital Award will be presented at the world’s leading trade fair, SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN, on 19 September 2025. The new industry award is presented by Messe Essen in cooperation with the IndustryFusion Foundation and DVS – German Welding Society. It recognises digital solutions and innovations in joining, cutting and surfacing technologies. 21 applicants have been admitted to this inaugural edition. The winners of the bronze, silver and gold trophies, to be awarded on the final day of the trade fair, will be decided exclusively by the professional audience.

Numerous exhibiting companies have entered for the premiere. The range of submitted projects extends from AI-supported applications and virtual and augmented reality concepts to new methods of automated production:

The award ceremony will take place on Friday, 19 September 2025, at 1 p.m. at the IndustryFusion Foundation stand in Hall 6 (Stand 6D22). The three participants with the most votes will receive the IF Digital Award in gold, silver and bronze.

Vote and win

All voters will be entered into a prize draw for attractive prizes, including a high-quality long-distance e-bike from Rose, a VIP visitor ticket to SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2029, and a Lenovo tablet.

Voting also takes place digitally via the official SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN app. After downloading it free of charge from the App Store or Google Play, visitors first upload their ticket. During the trade fair visit, they can explore the submitted products and concepts at the stands of participating exhibitors and save them to a personal favourites list via QR code scan. Only then will they have the opportunity to cast their vote directly in the app and actively help decide who will receive the IF Digital Award.
