Automatic weld seam inspection for safety-relevant vehicle parts

The VIRO WSI inspection system checks every single weld seam fully automatically, directly in-line. It detects 100% of all relevant defects from 0.1 millimeter. NOK parts can be immediately reworked and the deviations corrected in the welding process. For battery trays for e-vehicles, the system can additionally inspect surfaces and screw connections. With VIRO WSI, zero-defect tolerance can be realized without driving up the cost of quality inspection.

Real-Time Monitoring of Laser Welding Processes

VIRO WSM monitors laser welding processes in real time, directly at the welding station. Anomalies and potential quality defects are detected and signaled immediately. They are not noticed only during subsequent visual inspection. As a result, fewer rejects are produced and the production line has to be stopped less frequently to find and eliminate the causes of defects.
