The Story of WONTECH

On July 12, 2000, WONTECH began on the balcony of a small apartment in Ulsan, South Korea's industrial city.

A welder, who started welding at the age of 17 to support his family, made a firm decision to start his own business when he turned 40. While working in welding, he always felt the need for better torches and consumables, which led him to develop higher-quality products.

He set up a workshop on his apartment balcony, using a hand press and various hand tools to create a gas lens with smooth gas flow and excellent durability.

This was the beginning of WONTECH.

Carrying his high-quality gas lens, he visited welding sites to promote his products. Over the years, as more welders recognized the superior quality, he gradually expanded his workshop.

Starting with durable gas lens bodies, WONTECH introduced various products based on field experience, including:

The WT-26FL, a Korean-style flexible torch with strong bending resistance.
The WT-150F series, a modified No. 9 torch, offering smooth bending and excellent heat resistance.
The WT-300FL, a No. 26 torch with outstanding flexibility and heat resistance.

With these innovations, WONTECH became a specialized TIG torch manufacturer, known for producing torches suitable for diverse welding environments. Today, WONTECH is recognized as Korea’s leading professional torch manufacturer.

All products are manufactured entirely in WONTECH's Korean factory, and the company holds more than 40 patents.
