For your own production, we analyze all production steps – from the coil to the finished welded bipolar plate – and develop a scalable and future-proof line concept based on the analysis and in consideration of your infrastructure.

The Graebener® Production Laboratory – Prototyping and Small Series Production:

In our production laboratory, we are able to verify the manufacturability of your bipolar plate design using a selected area as test geometry – this way you obtain initial results quickly and cost-effectively. This also applies to the design optimizations we work out.

With the continuously optimized and patented Graebener® technology used in the laboratory, we are able to produce smallest lot sizes and small series of your plate design – and later transfer the production parameters one-to-one to your own Graebener® production line.

Your Graebener® Production Lines – From the Individual Machine to the Line:

We realize your individual single machines for hydroforming, cutting, welding and straightening including all tools.

For larger and more complex projects we develop tailor-made and scalable lines for series production – from the coil to the welded bipolar plate.

In addition, we support you with our stack press in the technical testing of your stacks.

With our Tailor-Welded-Plates® technology we bring the automated panel production to a new quality level. Our customized solutions combine highly precise Graebener® plate edge milling machines with most modern laser hybrid welding technology. Benefit from our milling and welding technology.

With our continuous root tacking machines you can accurately close the gap remaining in the LSAW pipes after the pipe forming process. The longitudinal edges are pushed together thus closing the open seam pipe. This way, the tacking lay can be optimally introduced to the open seam pipe in a subsequent process.

Precise Processing due to roller cage: The pipe is passed through the machine in a continuous process being guided by pressure rolls in all four directions. The top rolls are located in a patented roller cage and can be adjusted like the lateral rolls for a precise processing of the open seam pipe. During the entire process, the welding gap is scanned by means of a 2D laser scanner ensuring an ideal positioning of the welding head to the welding gap, a constant tacking lay and thus the optimum basis for the subsequent submerged arc welding processes.

Our end beveling machine are a one-for-all technology which helps you process the most complex weld seam geometries and facing operations in a cost-efficient way, even with wall thicknesses of up to 80 mm. Mechanical copying and CNC copying in one machine – including an automatic ovality compensation. Optimally suited for carbon steels as well as other material grades.

Our machines (underground a. overground designs) are equipped with an intelligent copying system which compensates the height difference in case of uneven pipe supports. This way, we ensure a constant seam depth at any time. Quick and economic operation with milling speeds of up to 1,000mm per minute and cost-efficient milling tips with multiple cutting edges. The operator-friendly and accurate seam tracking is carried out by means of an integrated camera and laser pointer at the control screen.

Graebener® profile milling machines guarantee an optimum weld seam preparation at shipbuilding profiles. Our machines are suited for all common types of (shipbuilding) steels and can be used for various profile shapes in a flexible and cost-efficient way – for example bulb profiles, T-profiles, angle steels and flats.

Our machines operate with high precision, fast and reliable even under the most difficult conditions and after years of operation. We offer plate edge milling machines individually tailored to your requirements in a wide range of possible designs, e.g. with slewable milling head, moveable clamping beams or as tandem system. Our solutions are ideally suited for a wide range of plate dimensions: plate length up to 30 m, wall thickness up to 150 mm, individual plate weight up to 100 t.
